So today, we start new. The pit in the center is where an elbow pipe once was, but has long since been destroyed. So the rain would fall in to the middle, collect a bunch of dirt, and then eventually make its way in to the drain pipe that runs for no less than 100 feet. Most of it I have repaired already.
So instead of making a mountain out of a molehill, I was able to slide about a 2 foot long section of this garden PVC down inside the old pipe after cleaning it out with no less than 25 feet of garden hose. Then I used a rubber gasket like you would use to convert iron pipe to PVC, and then I went nuts with the expansion foam to seal everything together!
